Forty-five minute nutrition counseling telehealth session.

At this nutrition counseling telehealth session our Registered Licensed Dietitian will evaluate your symptoms, address any other nutrition concerns, and walk you through a LowFODMAP elimination plan if they determine this is the best course of action.  

MEET OUR NUTRITIONISTS 

Genevieve Clarke, RDN, LDN, CDE is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia and is a member of both the American Dietetic Association and American Association of Diabetes Educators. Genevieve has a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science with a concentration in Human Nutrition at Clemson University. Genevieve completed her dietetic internship through Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. During her internship Genevieve performed her medical nutrition therapy rotation at Inova Fairfax Hospital and completed specialty training at bariatric surgery centers, weight management programs and sports nutrition sites throughout Northern Virginia. Genevieve also holds the Group Fitness Instructor Certification through the American Council on Exercise and is a practicing group exercise instructor and personal trainer.

Genevieve has a broad range of experience from both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings to physician supervised weight loss programs. As a dietitian, Genevieve takes a balanced approach to nutrition. With extensive experience in nutrition counseling for weight management, cholesterol improvement, diabetes control, high blood pressure, insulin training, binge eating disorder, bariatric surgery, general wellness and various gastrointestinal issues her goal is to make sure every client leaves her office with the knowledge they need to improve their health significantly.

MARY NOCERA, RDN

Mary Nocera is a registered dietitian who completed her internship program at East Carolina University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her internship rotations at Vidant Medical Center, Pitt County Health Department, ECU, and various rural communities. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has 15 years of active experience, 11 of which has been spent doing outpatient counseling. She has 4 years of experience as a clinical dietitian with residential facilities.

Mary is an expert in weight management, bariatric surgery, and supervised weight loss programs. She has worked closely with bariatric surgeons for 9 years to assist patients on their weight loss journey. She also enjoys educating individuals with a variety of diagnosis such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, gastrointestinal disorders, and many more. Mary is extremely motivated and determined to assist individuals meet all their nutritional needs and goals. She is empathetic and takes a realistic approach on how to best meet your needs given your lifestyle. Mary enjoys an active lifestyle that includes regular exercise, healthy eating, the outdoors, and appreciates spending time with family and friends.

SAMANTHA ADAS, MS, RDN, LDN

Samantha Adas, MS, RDN, LDN is a registered dietitian who completed her dietetic internship at University of Maryland College Park. During her internship Samantha completed her clinical rotations at Holy Cross Hospital-Silver Spring and Children’s National Medical Center. She has experience working with many different populations and disease states including hyperlipidemia, kidney disease, and diabetes.

Prior to her internship she received her bachelors and masters degrees from Virginia Tech. During her schooling Samantha was a nutrition counselor for two years and focused on empowering her clients in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner. Samantha is passionate about helping others work toward their nutrition goals in a sustainable and healthy way.

Melani Dhason, MD, RD, LDN

Melani is a Registered Dietitian with Washington Nutrition & Counseling Group. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI and a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA. While the bulk of her dietetic internship was done at Loma Linda University Hospital, she also enjoyed her experiences working with clients in a pediatric outpatient diabetes clinic and at an outpatient behavioral health clinic specializing in eating disorders. Her varied professional experiences include working with a wide range of age groups from school aged kids to senior citizens. Melani has spent the last 8 years working with seniors in skilled nursing facilities helping them manage chronic disease and illness such as diabetes, obesity, renal disease, cardiac issues, and more.

Melani has had a passion for food and nutrition for as long as she can remember and enjoys sharing this passion with others. In her spare time she enjoys hosting dinner parties and trips to the dog park with her Miniature Schnauzer, Darcy. Melani is a DMV native and is happy to be working in the community she grew up in. She is currently licensed to practice in Maryland and Virginia.

Morgan Holl, LDN, RDN

My name is Morgan, I’m a Registered Dietitian with a passion for everything related to health and wellness. I completed my undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise at Virginia Tech -Go Hokies! I then went on to do my dietetic internship at Lenoir Rhyne University where the programs specialization was in childhood and adolescent weight management. I am now pursuing my Master’s degree in Exercise Science from Lenoir Rhyne to combine my love for both nutrition and fitness.

I have experience working in the field of eating disorders and medical nutrition therapy. I also have special interests in weight management and sports nutrition.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Washington Nutrition and Counseling Group to help people achieve their goals!

Brooke Keenan, RDN, LDN

Brooke is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, licensed in Maryland and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration both earned at the University of Maryland, College Park. Brooke completed her Dietetics Internship at University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore.

She worked at Medstar Washington Hospital Center as a Clinical Nutrition Specialist responsible for a surgical intensive care unit, cardiac surgery floor, and a medical/geriatric floor. She was the designated Heart Transplant Dietitian responsible for assessing patients on an inpatient and outpatient basis both pre and post-transplant. She has also worked at Medstar Montgomery General Hospital as a clinical dietitian following patients in all in patient areas of the hospital.

Brooke has a passion for nutrition and helping her clients reach their nutrition goals in a healthy, well-balanced way. She endeavors to help people establish their own finest version of health and wellbeing using a practical and positive approac
